First off, there is no such thing as cheap Museum District apartments in Houston, TX.

This District boasts 19 different Museums that boasts culture, science, and the arts. Many of these sport free viewing times. Be sure to check their respective websites to see what fits your schedule. It’s something that shouldn’t be missed.  The area is also home to many older restored structures and buildings. Some of the more notable ones include the Museum of Natural Sciences, Fine Arts, and the Holocaust Museum. Whether you live in the immediate area or not, it’s definitely a part of town that should now be missed.

Hermann Park is a 445-acre park located inside the loop. It’s a public green space that provides access to plenty of activities including a zoo, golf course, and pedal boats.

The Houston Zoo is a must see. There are thousands of animals on exhibit. Millions of guests visit each year. There are many public and private events that you can be a part of. During the winter months, Zoo Lights is an attraction that shouldn’t be missed. Its pathways are illuminated with lights. Enjoy the sights and sounds of what the zoo is like at night.

Hermann Park Golf course is just minutes from Downtown Houston TX and literally is close to home. It is lighted and also includes a driving range. This golf course is open 7 days a week to the public.

Rents in the district have really increased the last few years in the area and are some of the highest in the entire city. Many old cheap apartments are now being torn down. Newer Museum District communities are replacing them. Renters who have become accustomed to paying lower rents will now be looking elsewhere to find deals.
