Apartments aren’t the only option. This quaint suburb offers you the opportunity to rent private homes and townhomes in Humble TX for an economical price. You might be able to secure a 2 bedroom home for just over $1000 per month. There are many advantages of renting something private. If you do request something furnished, be sure and realize your going to be paying a lot more.
Why Private Homes Can be Better
A private home has many benefits over apartments such as larger square footage for a lower cost per foot. However, when it comes to renting a home the upfront costs are usually much higher. Negotiations can actually take place over rent. As you know the large Humble apartments will not negotiate rents unit by unit. It just doesn’t make any sense.
Private owners will negotiate, and just want to rent out their place and have a renter pay on time. If no one is occupying a home, that means the owner is losing money each month. If you are good at negotiations, you might be able to work a deal. A few things though you will want to know.
- Usually, you will need to sign a 12-month lease.
- Deposits are usually equal to one month’s rent.
- Many times you also will be required to put down last month’s rent in addition to the first.
Remember, there aren’t as many Humble rental properties as you might find in a bigger city. It can be a good thing. You won’t have to spend countless hours researching. Keep your eyes open for non-traditional rentals
As with any rental, be sure and read your contract thoroughly. This should lay out items like maintenance, late fees, noise, etc.
Pet Rules in Humble Apts
If you have a pet, don’t worry, the majority of properties are pet-friendly. However, if your pet is coined as an aggressive breed, he or she most likely won’t be approved. Many communities are now charging monthly pet rent fees, trash, and requiring renters to obtain renter’s insurance. Keep in mind of all of these fees they do start to add up. If you have set a budget for yourself, you will need to factor in these miscellaneous fees.
How much are Humble Rents
This will depend on the age of the community in question and of course the square footage. You should be able to find 1 bedroom apartments in Humble going in the upper $800 range. If your comfortable with an older complex (built in the 80’s and even 70’s) that doesn’t feature all the bells and whistles, you should be able to secure one in the $700 range. Studios are rare in Humble!
