That says enough, but there is much more to this little city located in the Hill Country. Maybe we shouldn’t call it little any longer. Round Rock is growing fast!  Anytime you combine a city with a strong job market, exemplary schools, and great safety records, you are going to get notoriety. Texas has zero income personal and corporate income tax.  Round Rock has a lower property tax rate than many Texas cities.

Thus you will plenty of restaurants, retail stores, and entertainment to accommodate all of the employees in the region. Round Rock won’t have that big city feel. You feel that you are really part of something special here.

Types of Apartments

You are going to have your pick of options. There are many affordable rentals,  as well as private homes and townhouses. It’s like any other type of search you may have conducted in the past.

If you just need an apartment for yourself, then you probably might consider a studio.  You may encounter a small problem. Unless your living near a large metro area, studios usually are widely absent. This could not be more true.  But all is not lost. Many rentals are flagship communities. They are going to have all the features and amenities that make apt living great. Enjoy large walk-in showers, granite counters, and state of the art gyms.

You should know that the majority of apt listings are modern. You are not going to see too many that were built in the ’70s and ’80s. It’s also understood that the price will rival listings in  Downtown.  So take your time. Tour some complexes and take a look at private rentals.

What it’s like to live in Round Rock

Using one simple word it’s “great”. Unless your head has been buried in the sand, Austin is one of the best places to live in the entire country. Residents swear by it.

Round Rock doesn’t have an Austin zip code, you are only a short car ride away. You won’t be able to walk to Austin, but that is what cars are for.  Your gonna need one to get around. After all, it’s Texas.

This Texas city is an exercise enthusiast’s dream. You have hundreds of acres to play with. With the countless lakes, hiking trails, and awesome scenery, some call it heaven. And avid golfers will have a selection of a multitude of courses.

Then there are those of us who like to get our shopping on. The city features premium outdoor outlets with some of the most well-known brands around the entire country. You could spend days browsing various stores like the Banana Republic and Nike. In total, there are about 125 stores.  You can even catch a flick at Cinemark 14. This destination is a huge draw for those who live in this southern region.

You cannot live here without noticing the Dell Diamond. It’s a sports facility that is home to the Round Rock Express (affiliated with the Texas Rangers). But it has other uses besides baseball games. It also hosts several concerts, festivals, and many other notable events.

The bad news, the rentals here aren’t cheap. 1 bedroom properties are going to fetch well over 900 dollars. 2 bedroom options will be several hundred dollars more.

A large majority will have washer and dryers or connections. This latter amenity is probably one of the most coveted in an apartment.
